Darien Police are looking for two women who were allegedly caught on camera stealing $75 of hair-altering equipment during the afternoon of Wednesday, April 16.
The manager of Walgreen’s Pharmacy on Heights Road called police at 3:35 p.m. to alert them of the theft. The manager told police that two women entered the store and began placing items in a white bag carried by one of them.
Police said the women took a $42 Remington hair straightener and a $33 curling iron. The manager confronted them in the parking lot, at which point the women fled toward Heights Road, police said.
The women were described as African American in their late teens or early 20s. One was wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt, black pants with pink sneakers. The other one was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white or gray pants and white sneakers. The matter remains under investigation.
