Upcoming events at the Darien Community Association

Darien-greens

Members of the DCA’s Greenhouse Group will be holding a workshop to create holiday table arrangements on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

Denise Cara, Sheila Sherwood, Robin Murphy, Tere Stevens and Heather Pommernelle will lead participants through the design and construction of these lovely arrangements for the home. Materials provided will include fresh greens, floral foam, floral wire, ribbon and holiday knick-knacks.

Participants should bring the container of their choice — a 6”x 6” opaque, waterproof bowl is suggested — as well as hand clippers if available. Coffee, refreshments and holiday music will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the workshop from 10 a.m. This workshop is $20 or $15 for DCA members. Reservations are required so the appropriate supplies can be purchased.
