YWCA Darien/Norwalk has announced the sponsors of this year’s Fourth of July Push-n-Pull Parade. The title sponsor for the event is William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage and Insurance.

Additional sponsors include The Melting Pot, Urstadt Biddle Properties, Mary Ann Hall’s Music for Children, Vernal’s Service Center, Darien Rowayton Bank, David M. Osherow DDS, The Darien Youth Commission, Rowayton Pizza and New Canaan, Darien + Rowayton Magazine, Moffly Media.

The parade is in its ninth year and will take place on Thursday, July 4 at 10:30 a.m. sharp. The annual patriotic parade of children riding bikes, scooters, wagons or any non-motorized vehicle will step off from Goodwives Shopping Center, where Mary Ann Hall’s Music for Children will entertain the waiting crowd starting at 10 a.m. The parade travels down the Post Road and ends in Tilley Pond Park, where there will be food vendors and live entertainment by the Dirty Sock Funtime Band.

Local and state elected officials and Darien high school band members will lead the parade, which last year drew close to 3,000 local residents. The parade will also feature a special appearance by Joe Warren as Uncle Sam and fire trucks by Darien and Noroton Fire Departments.

This event is free and open to the public. A suggested donation of $10/family will be accepted at Tilley Pond Park and will directly benefit the community service programs of the YWCA Darien/Norwalk
