A Colt black powder revolver and other items were reported stolen from an Old King’s Highway South home on Friday, Feb. 8. The home was unlocked when the theft occurred, police said.
Black powder revolvers do not accept typical bullets and must be loaded in increments, using the projectile, wadding and black powder or other flammable element. These weapons are similar to the first firearms developed.
Police said the $400 gun was stolen along with a $1,200 Sony digital camera, a $400 flat screen TV, a duffle bag, a comforter and $200 in change. The homeowner was working from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. when the burglary was discovered.
