A team from Middlesex Middle School came in second place at the second annual Charter Oak Scholastic Open quiz bowl on Sunday, Jan. 27. First place went to a team from Benjamin Franklin Middle School from Ridgewood, N.J. Middlesex hosted the tournament, which included 14 teams from eight middle schools in three states, who answered questions that ranged over the entire spectrum of middle school curriculum, as well as special events, sports and popular culture.
Another Middlesex team was third.
