In anticipation of the snow storm on Friday afternoon, Feb. 8, there will be extra Metro North trains on the New Haven line between 12 and 4 p.m. “to help customers return home,” according to the MTA website. Extra trains departing Grand Central at 1:59 and 2:59 p.m. will stop in Darien.
“Train combinations and cancellations are possible at any time, but increase in likelihood as the evening progresses to prevent trains from becoming stranded during the storm,” the MTA said.
All trains will operate normally until 12 p.m. There will be less trains running during “PM peak” times.
