UPDATE 12:15 p.m.: The victim is a resident of Stamford, according to Darien Police Capt. Fred Komm. There was no property damage incurred during the attack, Komm added, nor was there any video surveillance footage. It’s unclear how old the attackers are or how many there were.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A 16-year-old employee of the Darien Playhouse movie theater was assaulted by a group of females on Sunday, Jan. 17.
Police said that the girl suffered small cuts to her face and bruising under her right eye when she was attacked while working at the concession stand. By the time police arrived just after 5 p.m., the attackers had left, police said. She was later taken to Stamford Hospital by Darien EMS-Post 53 where she was treated and released.
One of the attackers knew the victim, police said, and there had been prior tensions between the two. The department’s youth division is investigating.
