Two cars burglarized on the Post Road in Darien

Two cars were burglarized along the Post Road on Friday, Jan. 11. Police said one car, a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo, was parked at 9 p.m. in the rear lot of Post Corner Pizza at 847 Post Road. When the owner returned 15 minutes later, she noticed that the front passenger side window had been broken out and that damage had been done to the door as well. The owner is unsure if anything was taken.

Just down the street at Matsuri Restaurant, at 390 Post Road, a 2009 Mercedes GL450 had been parked at approximately 8 p.m. When the owners returned at 9:30, they noticed that the rear passenger side window had been broken out and that damage had been done to the door. Taken was a black nylon bag containing a Wilson paddle racket. Both items are valued at approximately $200, police said.
