A Bridgeport man faces three counts of violating a protective order that was issued to him in December for a domestic violence incident that happened in December. He had been ordered to not have any contact with the victim. Darien Police said the victim now lives in Darien, and received text messages and a New Years card from the man on or about Jan. 7, which constituted a violation of the protective order, police said.
A warrant for his arrest was issued, but a second complaint was received from the victim indicating the man had been sending her Facebook messages, police said. Police called the man and he turned himself in at police headquarters. He was then processed for both arrests. He posted a $10,000 bond and had court on Thursday, Jan. 10.
