Ellie Bennett scored twice in a 4-1 win at Ridgefield on Thursday.

The Wave climbs to 7-1-1 overall and stays undefeated in the FCIAC at 5-0 with the first big showdown of the season vs. New Canaan on Monday.

Sage Thacher scored and had two assists, Georgia Cassidy capped it with an empty net goal late in the third.

The Wave led 2-0 after one period, traded goals with the Tigers in the second.

It was Thacher making it 1-0 unassisted three minutes in.

And Bennett made it 2-0 assisted by Thacher.

Bennett was back with her second in the second for 3-0 set up again by Thacher, and with a helper from Sammy Nielsen.

Lucy Wemyss had the Tigers marker in the second assisted by Maeve Reilly.

Ridgefield pulled its goalie on the powerplay in the closing minutes of the third and Cassidy found the net for her team-topping 12th goal, 19th point, of the season, from Lily Christensen and Chandler Kirby.

Darien goalie Shannon Hall made 11 saves.

Heather Ogden made 25 saves in goal for Ridgefield.
