GIRLS WAVE HOCKEY
Darien continued its roaring start to the season beating Amity 9-3 at the Northford Ice Pavillion on Tuesday night.
Sammy Nielsen led girls Wave Hockey (2-0) with a hat trick and Georgia Cassidy scored twice.
Nielsen finished up with four points.
Senior Lily Christensen had a goal and an assist, Christy Conley scored, Amanda Sload had a goal and an assist, Sage Thacher two helpers, Schuyler van den Broek a goal.
Shannon Hall made nine stops in the Wave goal. Darien put 45 shots on the Amity net.
The Wave led 2-0 after one period, 6-1 after two.
