Emily Calhoun Hollings of Charleston, S.C. and Paul Edward Carley of Darien were married on June 23 at St. Mary of the Annunciation in Charleston, S.C. Deacon Jerome Remkiewicz performed the 6 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Hibernian Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Emily Marie Ferrara and Robert Meyer Hollings, Jr., both of Charleston, SC. She earned a BS from Rice University in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Emily attends dental school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill.
The groom is the son of Maura and Jack Carley of Darien. Paul earned a BA from Rice University in Economics. He is a Financial Analyst for the pipelines division of British Petroleum in Naperville, IL.
Childhood friend Stephanie Scott was the maid of honor. The bride’s attendants were Nikka Landau, Caroline Wood and Stacey Hollings. The bride wore a lace gown by Birnbaum and Bullock.
College roommate Kevin Cahill was the groom’s best man. The groomsmen were Daniel Berman, Brian Kelly of Darien and Robert Hollings III.
The rehearsal dinner given by the groom’s parents was held at McCrady’s on June 22. The couple resides in Naperville, Ill. and will honeymoon in California next year.
