Darien High past and present, present and accounted for at the alumnae game on Saturday night.
GIRLS WAVE HOCKEY
Darien’s 5th annual Wave Hockey Alumnae game Saturday night resulted in a 7-2 victory for the kids and a fun match for all.
The alumnae was a little depleted, needing to go without all-time greats like goalie Katharine Macomber, scorers Madeline Coburn and Emma Tuzinkiewicz.
The latter was out injured and the former — even backstopper Macomber — are both breaking away with travels abroad.
That DHS is sporting speedy freshmen didn’t help the former Wave’s cause.
But it will help DHS as it looks to rebound from the graduation of its top all-time scoerer in Sarah Shaker this season.
