Darien’s annual wreath placing ceremony, for Wreaths Across America, will occur on Saturday, Dec. 15 at noon, in the Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery. All are invited to help place the wreaths on the graves of the veterans in the cemetery.
If you would like to help, plan to arrive by 11:30 for the noon ceremony, which will occur simultaneously in over 500 cemeteries throughout the United States and overseas, as well as the primary dedication which will be occurring at Arlington National Cemetery.
Wreath sponsorships have been provided by individual citizens of Darien and beyond, as well as several civic groups and local businesses.
Sponsorships are still being accepted by contacting Phil Kraft at 656-0003. The cost of sponsoring each wreath is $15.
