Dr. Josephine Velazquez and her neigbhors are organize groups to help residents of New Dorp, Staten Island affected by the recent storm. She is in contact with a local church who will help find home owners who need assistance.
The group plans to help residents clean out their homes and distribute supplies on Saturday, Nov. 24. Several businesses including Ring’s End, Palmer’s and Mama Carmela’s Deli are providing supplies and food. ”Our goal is to motivate others to donate their time to help others affected by this storm,” Velasquez said.
