This year drum sticks trade places with hockey sticks once the feasting is all through on Thanksgiving weekend.
The NHL Winter Classic — the NHL? — torched this lock-out season, Darien boys Wave Hockey and alumni alike will be facing-off to fill in the void as supporters fill in the stands at Darien Rink.
That will be in the ice-breaker on the first-ever, newly branded annual Blue Wave vs. Alumni hockey game, now dubbed: The Alumni Turkey Classic.
The puck drops 7:40 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 24 at Darien Ice Rink.
