The snow has already fallen more than predicted in Darien, and roads are continuing to slush over, according to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson.
With the leaves on the ground, the falling snow is making roads extra slippery, so drivers should use caution.
While Darien’s outages from last week’s hurricane finally were restored Wednesday, 113 customers were out due to the latest storm, or 1%.
The town’s Department of Public Works is heading out to salt shortly. All of the town’s afterschool programs have been canceled Wednesday.
No evacuation is planned as there is no tidal surge expected to necessitate it, she said.
