Flu season is upon us and the best way to remain healthy and avoid infection is to receive a flu vaccination. The Darien Health Department will host a “VOTE and VAX” on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Town Hall auditorium. Preservative-free fluzone will be offered to anyone over the age of 36 months. The preservative-free fluzone high dose will also be offered to anyone 65 and older. No appointments are needed. The flu vaccine costs $30 and is payable by check, through Medicare Part B or with a ConnectiCare insurance card.
Both vaccines are also available by appointment in the Health Department office every Monday from 9AM to noon. Appointments may be scheduled at www.darienct.gov.
