Darien’s gas stations are running out of gas, according to First Selectman Jayme Stevenson. In addition to the local need for gas, out of towners from the tri-state area, like New York City, in desperate need for gas are heading north in search of fuel.
As frustrations in the wake of Hurricane Sandy rise, tempers and lines at Darien’s gas stations also increase, leading to shouting matches.
Stevenson said those in search of gas should continue heading north, saying service stations on I95 are open in Milford and Fairfield.
