Darien got off to a perfect start shutting out Brien McMahon 3-0 in the FCIAC quarters on Friday.
The second seed Wave scored once in the first half and twice in the second.
Sam Wright fired off two goals and Georgia Cassidy one. Kat Huber had two assists, Kyla Johns one.
Shutout goalie Danica Hornick made three saves.
Second seed Darien (14-1) bombed the seventh seed Senators (7-5-3-1) net with 20 shots.
Sandy cleans slate
With the advent of Hurricane Sandy the FCIAC has wiped clean its slate of playoff games scheduled through Wednesday.
Darien will not play No. 3 New Canaan in the semis, now, before Thursday at the earliest at Dunning Field.
