Governor Malloy signed an executive order earlier tonight that extends Connecticut’s in-person voter registration deadline to Thursday, Nov. 1, at 8 p.m. Malloy declared the state to be in an emergency ahead of Hurricane Sandy. This allows the governor to “modify or suspend any state statute, regulation, or requirement,” according to a press release.
As Connecticut prepares for Hurricane Sandy, Governor Dan Malloy is expected to sign an executive order tonight that will extend the voter registration deadline, originally this Tuesday, to Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.
