The Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. at 2 Renshaw Road.
Dr. Judith Pandolfo will give an update on the start of the world language program at the elementary schools. There will be a discussion of possible changes to high school level Spanish IV and Comparative World Religions curriculums.
The board will hear about several enrollment and class size issues at the high school and middle school, special education classes included.
Richard Huot, finance director, will give his five year budget projections, and a report on the 2012-2013 budget. The board will have a chance to approve budget transfers.
The board will consider the following actions: apply for Darien Foundation for Technology and Community grant application, apply for consolidated grant, accept a gift from high school parents association, accept a gift from Blue Wave Booster Club, and approve high school trips for the music department, a Jazz festival and the Shell Eco-Marathon competition.
