In support of breast cancer awareness month, Nicholas Roberts Fine Wines will donate 10% of its Thursday, Oct. 18 sales to The Stamford Hospital Bennett Cancer Care Center. Its staff will also be dressed in pink.
“It’s said that cancer touches everyone’s life in some way. It touched mine directly when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago,” said managing director Peter Troilo.
“Recently, her doctor began using the word ‘clean’ for the first time since the diagnosis. On Oct. 18, my mom celebrates a milestone birthday. I couldn’t think of a better way to honor her strength, determination and will power than supporting those who supported her,” he said.
Nicholas Roberts Fine Wines will be open from 10 to 8 on Oct. 18 and offer samples of La Ferme Saint Pierre, a dry rosé wine from Southern France and Dominique Piron Beaujolais Rosé, a dry rosé from Beaujolais, France.
“Rosé is not quite out of season yet. I love enjoying good rosé straight through Thanksgiving,” Troilo said.
For those that cannot get to the store, Nicholas Roberts Fine Wines also plans to donate 10% the day’s sales from its website, nicholasrobertsltd.com, and shoppers should use the promotional code BCA when checking out.
