GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Wave arithmetic is spectacular every year.
This is one of those seasons, though, where Darien High girls volleyball’s produced a season-long, 15-match to date, winning streak with girls, mostly, new to playing large roles until 2012.

Led by two vets in captains Riley Sousa and Kelly Kosnik the many tentacle-sprouting Darien volleyball-scoring-octopus has fired 480 kills, 172 aces.
The seamless team’s made 542 digs all together and 101 blocks.
Kosnik’s the killer, scoring on 175 spikes to lead the team.
Her hitting percentage is .275, killing percentage 37.1.
Sousa’s let loose with 159 kills, has a hitting percentage of .217 and kill percentage of 37.9.
Taylor Cockerill has killed it 40 times, Brittany Osborn 39, Claire Naughton 23, Lauren Pryor 22.
Sousa is mistress of the screeching serve, topping out with 176 points. She has a serving percentage of 88.6. Aces, Sousa’s dealt 50, also to lead the team.
Kosnik’s scored 126 service points and sunk 35 aces.
Osborn’s scored 81 points, Pryor 75, Celia Martzolf 63, Kathleen Burke 57, Cockerill 54, Callan Clasby 38.
Digging it the most, Sousa and Kosnik with 133 and 132 respectively.

Pryor’s made 83 digs, Clasby 48, Osborn 44, Burke 29, Martzolf 23, Isabelle Taylor 17, Keli Reyes 13, Cockerill 12.
Solo blocks: Cockerill’s made 23, Kosnik 20; total blocks has Cockerill with 36, Kosnik 27, Osborn 22, Sousa 11, Pryor 10, Naughton 10, Martzolf nine.
Assist master Martzolf’s dished 239 set-ups, Burke has a more than impressive 188.
Kosnik has smacked back 202 serves, Sousa 189, Osborn 70, Clasby 68, Pryor 33, Taylor 25.
